Xaralyn Ambiance Surround Freestanding Hybrid Fireplace

The Ambiance is a freestanding hybrid fireplace from Dutch Xaralyn and is part of their Surround series consisting of freestanding fireplaces that can be placed against a wall while looking at the flames from the frontside.

The fireplace is constructed in MDF which afterwards is painted in white (RAL 9010).

As the Ambiance Surround is a freestanding fireplace and does not require a chimney or exhaust it is possible to move around the fireplace as you like.

Be aware that the Ambiance Surround weighs more than 90 kg, so it is a 2-man job moving the fireplace around.

Different types of fireplaces

It is also possible to receive the fireplace with a bioethanol burner. A bioethanol burner creates real fire while an Opti-myst burner creates flame effects using water vapour and LED light.

With this fireplace comes a Cassette 600 Opti-myst burner developed by Dimplex. The burner has these specifications:

Power consumption of 200 watts per hour
Adjustable flame image
Remote control included
Must be connected to power
Burning time of 6 to 8 hours per filling with water

Installing the Xaralyn Ambiance Surround

The Ambiance is a quite big fireplace and is delivered on a pallet by a carrier. Be aware that the carrier does not carry the fireplace all the way into your house.

The fireplace is delivered unassembled so you need to put the pieces together yourself after receiving it before it can be used.
